First eggs!!
Many of you might recall we inherited chickens on Thanksgiving. Today I found our first eggs in the nest box! I'm sure Penguin the black chicken laid one of them this morning. The other not sure if it was Penguin or Light bulb.
Oh and our hellebores you saw the H. niger blooming already. Four others have buds on them already!

I've never tried fresh eggs before, I'm really curious if I could taste a difference.
Randy, you are a good person to ask about this, I'm thinking about getting some seeds from Baker Creek and I was wondering, do you start your seeds in pots, or direct sow? I'm getting some cucumbers, muskmelons, maybe watermelons. Going to try some raised beds for them. Any advice for our area is greatly appreciated! Especially seed recommendations!
