Homemade Parade part 2

As promised more photos from the Homemade Parade in Hillsborough, NC.

The ice queen?

More of the five-lined skink.
I really liked the blue winged women.

This face was 6 foot tall or so, huge!
Lots of drummer at the parade, really enjoyed watching and listening to them.
Kissing frogs!

The costumes just keep getting better!
That ice queen is spectacular. Looks perfectly at ease walking on those stilts. The excitement and fun come through well in your photos. Thanks!

  5. It was such a wonderful parade! From what I can tell, you were about half a block from where I was - I was in front of the water office.

We're usually in the mountains at that point in October, but we weren't this year so it was my first year to see the parade. My husband and two sons made a large bat puppet many years ago, and they bring it out every year at Halloween. This year, they were able to carry it in the parade.

They're on the right side in the seventh picture down. If you look at the guy in the blue checked shirt under the bat, there's an elbow to the left. That's my elbow - I'm taking a picture of them.
