They were about to salvage the house (which is over 100 yars old), but there was a lot of damage. I remember looking with despair at all of the trees laying on the power lines. Their berries are tasty, but the plants are very agressive and crowd my raspberry plants, grapes, etc. I never thought about digging them out, they are so prickly, and my pruning just encourage their growth!
